Compassionate, confidential online counselling
About Claire
Hi, I’m Claire, a qualified and registered counselling psychotherapist offering online therapy or in person sessions from South East London. I work collaboratively and at your pace, supporting people with anxiety, stress, loss, relationship or family difficulties, and long-standing patterns such as people-pleasing and attachment-related concerns. I also have experience working with mood and psychotic disorders, including bipolar and schizophrenia (diagnosed or not), substance-provoked experiences, and questions around alcohol use. Many clients value a confidential space with a compassionate professional to speak openly and feel understood.
You may be coming to therapy with a clear concern, or with a sense that something is not quite working. I offer a steady, reflective space where we can explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels manageable. Together, we can look at patterns that have developed over time and how past and present relationships may be affecting you now. My role is to listen carefully and work alongside you, without judgement, toward greater clarity and emotional ease.

Therapeutic Approach
My approach is warm and collaborative, offering structure and insight-oriented strategies when helpful. I draw from a range of therapeutic models including psychodynamic, person-centred and relational, therapies to action change (eg CBT, DBT), with the most important core – building trust with a relational approach that provides therapy that is unique and specific to you.
In understanding attachment and survival strategies that may once have been necessary, such as people-pleasing, emotional withdrawal, or heightened vigilance, my aim is supporting emotional regulation, coping with intense feelings, or finding alternatives to behaviours that no longer serve you adapted to your individual experiences and needs.
Your therapy is your space and your choice. Building trust and safety is central to the work we do together, so that you feel supported, empowered, and able to explore what matters most to you.
If you’d like to explore working together, you’re welcome to get in touch with no pressure or expectation. You won’t be asked to share more than you feel comfortable with, and you can book a session without any commitment. It’s simply an opportunity to see if this feels like the right fit for you.
